Cobh Seaplane Trials
Today, Friday 27th August, saw the first of a series of seaplane trials in Cobh, County Cork. A company called Harbour Flights Ireland Ltd is intending to open up the harbours and estuaries of Ireland for tourism seaplane flights and Cobh is the first harbour chosen for test flights.
A large crowd gathered at the quayside in Cobh to witness the plane landing around 12:20pm. Conditions were perfect with sunshine and a calm sea.
