Dept of Justice Uses A Photo Of Mine Without Permission

Today the long awaited Commission of Investigation Report into the Catholic Diocese of Cloyne was published.  There was a Prime Time special on it after the 9pm news. I was sweating over a hot PC post-processing wedding photos when fellow photographer and Carrigtwohill man Paul Flynn emailed me to ask if that was my photo of Belvelly Bridge on the cover of the report. I rewound the programme and there was a graphic of the cover behind Richard Crowley. And very prominently displayed on it was my photo!

Here is the original on my Flickr page:

Here is the link to the cover of the report:

Here it is on the RTE website this evening:

Pretty cheeky, huh?

I would have thought that the Dept of Justice, of all people, would have complied with copyright and not go lifting photos from Flickr without the photographer's permission.

I've emailed them telling them they've been very naughty.

Meanwhile, I'll dine out on the fact that, in a sense, I've been featured in the notorious Cloyne Report!
